The floodgates have opened

After a bit of a hiatus (working 2 jobs tends to put things on hold), I found a sudden spurt of inspiration again. So much so, that I was able to churn out three more chapters of my Star Wars fanfic in about as many days! It feels good to have a clear direction with a story, believe me. Of course, actually sitting down and plotting an outline helps with that. Who knew?
Fingers crossed this flame stays lit for a while. I'd really like to see where it goes.

It was a hectic second half to 2014, but I survived, and with new content!
Cassowary Clare is still on my heart and mind, so she isn't going anywhere, but after much mulling and brainstorming, I decided that I want to do a few tweaks to the story thus far. So expect a couple of reworks in the near future.
In the meantime, allow me to introduce to you a story from another fandom of mine: Star Wars! I still have a working/temporary title, depending on how it flows over the next couple of chapters, but for now Star Wars: Huntress will do.

Star Wars: Huntress - Prologue== PROLOGUE ==
"Do you know why you are here?"
The child flinched, but did not answer. The burning split on her lip served as a reminder of the last time she misspoke. She kept still, her stiff knees aching as she remained kneeling on the floor. The small room was poorly lit, but she daren't look up at the figure circling her, as a beast would its dying prey.
"You are here," her Master cooed, "Because I will it. You are here because I wish you to learn. You are here, girl..."
The voice whispered into her ear as her master leaned in close, "Because it pleases me."
The heat of his breath sent shivers down her spine. Every muscle tightened under the weight of his imposing presence. She fought the anxiety boiling in her chest. Her first few months here would have seen her break up in fearful sobs, but her tears have long since dried up. If he could sense her discomfort, he did not say. Eventually, she sensed him withd

Broke the streak of using the same dA icon for 8+ years and switched. I'm also highly tempted in changing my username as well, but the name I actually wanted was taken. Buh.
